The One and Only

The Karczma Młyn Restaurant lies directly by Lake Górzno. It’s the only place around with a private beach and a smokehouse as well as the only facility in northern Poland with a working mill wheel and its own trout farm.

The history of our restaurant

The Karczma Młyn Restaurant is a visiting card of both Górzno and the whole Brodnica Lake District.

It’s located in an old, carefully reconstructed water mill dating back to 1766. The restaurant offers two rooms, and its windows overlook the lake and the surroundings

Operational Watermill Wheel

The Młyn Inn has a working mill wheel. The original water mill in Górzno was built in 1766, located between two lakes: Górzno Lake and a smaller, about 2-hectare Wapionka Lake, situated about 7 meters higher. This location allowed for efficient use of water energy to drive mill devices. The building served as a water mill for many years, and its history dates back to the 18th century. The structure was used for grinding grain.

Private Trout Farm

At Karczma Młyn, we have our own trout farm where we passionately breed fresh, large trout. This gives us full control over their quality, which makes our trout dishes always fresh, aromatic, and full of flavor. It's a true treat for fish lovers and fans of regional cuisine!

At the inn, we prepare them in various ways – baked, fried, smoked – so that everyone can find their favorite version. Thanks to our own breeding, we can guarantee the highest quality and authentic taste. We invite you to try trout from our trout farm – freshness you won’t find anywhere else!

Polish cuisine

The Karczma Młyn Restaurant serves Polish cuisine, in particular trout from our very own trout farm. Although the dishes are served in quite unusual ways, they’re always prepared with fresh, natural products. The facility also offers a rich choice of beverages and alcohols, including wines from all over the world.

We’ve made sure our youngest guests feel special, which is why we’ve prepared a children’s menu filled with their favorite flavors. Enjoy homemade chicken broth, crispy fish sticks, juicy nuggets, and delicious, sweet pancakes. We warmly invite children and their parents to savor delightful moments at Karczma Młyn!

Right next to the playroom is a game room (described below), designed with parents and older children in mind.
